Amazon Glow
Amazon Glow object scan was a really cool AR feature in which the user can scan a real-world object into a game asset. The audio triggering was tricky intuit the projector turns off, becomes a scanner, the scanner turns off and becomes a projector again. All of these timings were arbitrary so we had to trigger the different sound elements at the state changes.
HBO: Westworld
The Westworld VR project won an Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Within a Scripted Program.
Originally, I was hired to work strictly on sound design and implementation for HBO’s Westworld VR experience. As the scope of the project grew, I took on music editing, voice processing, ADR supervision, lip sync matching, animation tagging, and post production 3D audio for the 360 video portion of the experience.
Read more about this project here: “HBO’s ‘Westworld’ VR Experience is Fun, Engaging, and Surprisingly Terrifying“.
HoloLens
I directed audio on HoloLens for 3 years, 2 of which were so secret, many people inside Microsoft had no idea what we were working on. In addition to providing audio direction for the individual experiences, I was responsible for designing the overall interaction sounds and aesthetic sonic identity for announce, Build 2015 and points beyond.
Unity: The Protector
I created the audio for Unity Creative Services’ VR experience, The Protector. I designed, recorded and mixed 3D audio for this HTC Vive exclusive project which was created to show off Unity’s VR authoring ability.
Unity: VRTillary
I designed sound effects for an internal Unity VR project. The experience was meant as a template project for learning VR development in Unity.
Wonder Buffalo
Wonder Buffalo was a student project that combined linear media with an interactive VR experience. I was subcontracted by Technicolor to do VR dialogue editing and Unity implementation. It was nominated for a 2017 Emmy award for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media but lost to another project I worked on, Westworld VR. (Click here to view video.)
Lowe’s Innovation Labs
I created UI / UX audio for Lowes Innovation Labs’ Advanced Visualization feature. This app allowed users to see products in their own space.
